St. Teresa of Avila said it best, “Christ has no body but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours, yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.”
Being the hands and feet of Jesus, we reach out to those who are hungry, those who find themselves homeless, without food, those who struggle having the basics of life, those who are imprisoned, those who experience illness or death and mourning, and those who encounter difficulties especially during holidays.
As Catholics, we are called to works of mercy just as Jesus touched every facet of society.
