Consider traveling to Belize in June with Barefoot Children Ministries!

Wow! It has been TWENTY years since the Belize mission was born right here at All Saints! Barefoot Children Ministries’ impact is spreading throughout Belize and the US as volunteers find purpose in helping others.

Last month, twenty- two volunteers traveled to Belize with Barefoot Children Ministries. Our youngest team member was eighteen years old and the “most experienced” was eighty-three. Everyone gave 150% before leaving the US and during our time together, working hard, sharing laughs, and creating unBELIZEable memories.

Fifteen small business microloan recipients were eager to share their success stories. Our education team volunteers shared health, fitness, language arts, math, music, and STEM lessons, and delivered school supplies, health items and flip flops to 259 students in four schools. We ministered to 123 elders in the same communities, provided first aid kits and two fruit-bearing trees to 198 families, and held a breakfast reception for twenty-one high school students who we are sponsoring. Our hearts were bursting as we watched children playing on the new playground that our construction crew built. After noticing that students were using their feet to push themselves off the ground with every pass, we demonstrated the proper swinging technique. Thanks to our donors and volunteers for helping us fulfill our mission to help eradicate poverty, facilitate economic empowerment, and promote human dignity for families in remote villages of Belize.
