Pro-Life Committee
Mission: To achieve its goal of establishing a Culture of Life, recognizing the inherent dignity of each human person, the All Saint Pro-Life Committee adopts the Archdiocesan Respect Life’s philosophy: “… human life is a precious gift from God; that each person who receives this gift has responsibilities toward God, self and others; and that society, through its laws and social institutions, must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence."
Duties:
- Prepare roses to sell the day before Mothers’ Day
- Volunteer to sell roses before & after one of the masses on Sat. (5:00 PM mass) & on Mothers’ Day masses
- Voluntary participation in the “40 Days for Life” prayerful procession in front of Planned Parenthood, St. Louis in the spring & fall
- Voluntary participation in the Archdiocesan Respect Life quarterly meeting in St. Louis County
- Voluntary participation of inserting the Respect Life quarterly profiles in bulletins
- Voluntary participation in Archdiocesan Respect Life mass on the 3rd Sat. (monthly) at the various parishes.
Time Commitment:
- Voluntary rose preparation on Sat. before Mothers’ Day (1-2 hrs.)
- Volunteer time to sell roses before & after 1 of the masses on Mothers’ Day
- Volunteer time to stuff bulletins (quarterly): approximately 1-1 ½ hrs. on Friday
- Archdiocesan activities vary
Special Skills: Willingness to participate in Pro-Life activities.
